UN Secretary General in Israel Monitoring Jewish Growth

Salaam Fayad, prime minister of the Western-backed Palestinian Authority, has taken United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to an observation point in the Samaria region for a close look at Jewish villages and Israel's controversial separation barrier. The UN chief's visit came a day after he and other major Mideast mediators again called on Israel to halt all Jewish construction in Judea and Samaria.
