The trial of a Jerusalem man who threw a shoe at High Court judge Dorit Beinish has been postponed. The trial, which was set to open Thursday, was put off, as attorneys for both sides work on a plea deal. The attorney for Pini Cohen, the man who threw the shoe, said that while he deplored the act, his client had already suffered quite a bit. “Before the court punishes my client, the court must hear about his terrible condition that drove him to the act, among them his utter impoverishment.”
