The Knesset Committee on Foreign Workers, headed by National Union Chairman MK Yaakov Katz (Ketzaleh) will visit Ben Gurion Airport Thursday to inspect first-hand the processing of foreign workers who arrive in Israel by air. The visit comes after complaints by farmers in the Arava that excessive bureaucracy on the part of airport officials was making the entry process for legal agricultural workers too difficult.
The Committee members will meet with Interior Ministry officials and gather information, eventually making recommendations on improving the intake and exit process for the workers.
