    IBA Admits Bias

In response to a complaint by the Tadmit media watchdog group, the Israel Broadcasting Authority (IBA) has admitted bias in its use of the term ‘extremist’.

Tadmit noted that an IBA reporter used the term ‘right wing extremist’ four times in a story without using the term ‘left-wing extremist’ even once to refer to anarchist leader Shahar Vardi. In response to the complaint, the IBA ombudsman wrote, "It should have been noted that Ms. Shahar Vardi is a left-wing extremist."
