Minister of Industry, Trade and Labor, Benjamin (Fuad) Ben Eliezer congratulated Stanley Fischer Wednesday on the announcement of the extension of his position as Governor of the Bank of Israel .

According to Eliezer, "Mr. Fisher led monetary policy during one of the worst economic crises in the world and in no small part, thanks to him, the State of Israel survived the crisis with minimal damage.
