President Shimon Peres spoke Wednesday morning with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu regarding Israel’s recent diplomatic crisis with the United States, urging the prime minister to quickly reach an understanding with the Americans. Peres further said that previous Israeli governments built Jewish neighborhoods in areas of Jerusalem liberated in 1967 and that it was agreed with the U.S. for Israel to continue building those neighborhoods until a final status agreement.
