PA Dedicates Rachel Corrie Street in Ramallah
The American-backed Palestinian Authority named a Ramallah street after activist Rachel Corrie from the anti-Zionist International Solidarity Movement on Tuesday, marking the seventh anniversary of Corrie’s death. The American-born anti- Israel militant was accidentally crushed to death by an Israeli army bulldozer in 2003 while protesting the destruction of an illegal structure in the Gaza region. A dedication ceremony was held in Ramallah on Tuesday inaugurating the new street name.
