After two years of legislative work, a law that prevents non-professionals from practicing a wide range of medical service areas – including physiotherapists, dietitians, therapeutic masseuses, podiatrists, chiropractors, and others – from practicing without a license. The law was sponsored by MK Aryeh Eldad (National Union) and MK Ahmed Tibi (Ra'am-Ta'al).

The law protects consumers from being treated by individuals who have not had training. Until now, it was perfectly legal for individuals in many medical service areas to treat patients without having had such training.
