More than a week after Egypt’s 81-year-old President Hosni Mubarak underwent surgery in Germany, speculation over his condition is reaching new heights.
Although Egypt has a constitution which states that if the president becomes incapable of fulfulling his duties that the speaker of parliament would become interim president, the country doesn't have a truly democratic system and a violent power struggle may result.
That possibility is what is causing rising tensions in the Arab world's most populous country.
