Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi made an official visit today (Monday) in Turkey, and laid a wreath at the masolium of Atatürk, the founder of modern Turkish Republic.

Ashkenazi said of the visit, "I was received warmly by the Turkish military leadership. There is no need to explain the importance of the ties between Israel and Turkey. I attended a seminar about the war on terrorism, the military cooperation with Turkey is excellent.
