In his speech at the opening of the Hurva synagogue this evening Mayor of Jerusalem Nir Barkat will remind the world that Israel has always safeguarded the Holy Places to all religions. The mayor will be conveying the message that the status quo in Jerusalem will remain unchanged. That message is in stark contrast to the incitement being spread by Muslim leaders who are claiming that Israel is threatening Muslim mosques.
