Jewish Philanthropist Israel (Izzy) Kaplan, a strong supporter of Jewish settlement in the Land of Israel, will be buried Monday in Jerusalem.
The Legal Forum for the Land of Israel said that "Izzy loved Israel with all his heart and worked tirelessly for the People and Land of Israel. His premature demise from a serious illness leaves us dazed and sad along with his family and thousands of admirers both in Israel and abroad. His death deals a hard blow to lovers of the Land of Israel and those fighting to protect its holiness."
A memorial service will be held for Kaplan on Monday at 11 AM at the Shamgar funeral home before being taken for burial in Jerusalem’s Har Hamenuchot cemetery.
