The Israeli media is quoting senior government officials as saying that as a result of American pressure, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is likely to implement a freeze on Jewish construction in Jewish neighborhoods over the Green Line in the North, South and East of Jerusalem.

The officials say Netanyahu will not declare an official freeze, due to fears this will anger the public; but in effect, this will be the case.
