Axelrod: Jerusalem Construction - an Insult to the U.S.
A senior advisor to President Barack Obama said today that the declaration of Israel on a plan to build 1,600 housing units in the Ramat Shlomo neighborhood in Jerusalem is an insult to the United States.
In an interview with the ABC, David Axelrod, the political adviser of U.S. President Barack Obama, referred to the decision on the construction, saying that, "it looks like a calculated move, and that's what bothers us."
He clarified that, "Israel is a strong ally. In a deep relationship, just for this reason, it was not the way to behave. Israelis understand clearly why we were disappointed with what we want to happen."
