Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu announced that he would not attend the dedication ceremony of the Hurva synagogue in the Old City in Jerusalem next week. Sources from the prime minister's office explained that Netanyahu did not want to anger the Obama adminstration, which doesn't recognize Israeli sovereignty in the Old City, by attending the event.
The prime minister will address the participants of the ceremony though a video conference but sources close to the PM hinted that "we're not sure that the nationalists are going to like what he intends to say."
