The Ministerial Committee on Legislation approved the transfer of the planning and building law to a first reading in the Knesset, subject to the government's approval on Sunday.

The committee also decided on a unique mechanism that will allow the public to submit comments on the bill even after it is brought for a first reading in the Knesset. The decision was approved by a majority of 11 ministers to one.
