Road 1, the main road between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, will be closed at various times between 9:00 and 11:00 Thursday morning in the direction of Tel Aviv. The road will be closed to accommodate the motorcade of U.S. Vice-President Joe Biden. The Ayalon Freeway in Tel Aviv will be closed when the motorcade reaches Tel Aviv.

Biden will speak at Tel Aviv University Thursday morning, and later will meet with Defense Minister Ehud Barak in Tel Aviv.
