The Knesset approved on Wednesday a preliminary reading of the "Parent Illness Salary" bill, submitted by Kadima MK Robert Teviyev. The bill states that workers caring for a parent over the age 65 who is terminally ill will be entitled to 60 days off per year to assist the parent.
The bill was approved unamimously.
