"Shlomit", Israel's largest national service organization, recently carried out a poll amongst the general public regarding who has the right to represent Israel abroad in sports competitions.

The poll found that 69% of the public think that whoever represents Israel in international sports or on national teams must serve in the IDF as a pre-condition to representing the country.
