Member of Knesset Yoel Hasson (Kadima) said in reaction to the approval of 1,600 homes slated for Jewish residents of Jerusalem that “Humiliating the vice president of the United States, Joe Biden, is far worse than the humiliation of the Turkish ambassador by Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon… They humiliated the Turkish ambassador with a low chair, but the US vice president they humiliated with 1,600 housing units.”

Political analysts generally view Kadima’s foreign policy as following America’s lead and Hasson’s criticism regarding the government decision to build Jewish homes in the capital only reinforces the image of a party that puts American national interests ahead of Israeli national interests.
