A spokesperson for the Palestinian Authority said Tuesday that if the Jerusalem regional planning commission did indeed approve construction of 1,600 homes in the Ramat Shlomo section of Jerusalem, the PA would very likely drop out of the indirect talks being pushed by Washington. “This is a dangerous decision that will impede the negotiations and bring failure to the efforts of the United States to institute negotiations, even before they have begun,” said PA spokesperson Nabil Abu-Rudeineh. He demanded that the United States react immediately to “this provocation” in a practical manner.
