Hershkowitz: the Nation Requires the Conversion Law

Chairman of the Jewish Home party, Minister of Science and Technology, Rabbi Prof. Daniel Hershkowitz, said today that, "national responsibility requires refreshing the conversion procedures in accordance with Jewish Law, and there is no halachic problem with the conversion law, which is supported by the Chief Rabbi Shlomo Amar. You cannot ignore the suffering of those who desire to convert correctly and also the rising assimilation rates."
