      Brazil Defends Iran

The President of Brazil, Luis Lula Da-Silva, defended Iran on Wednesday saying that "the international community should not push Iran into a corner regarding its nuclear program." His remarks, made during his meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, suggested that Brazil, a member of the UN Security Council, may oppose new sanctions on the Islamic Republic.

Da-Silva is scheduled to visit Israel this month.
