Seven young Arabs were arrested Sunday for throwing rocks at visitors to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem's Old City and at security personnel. The detainees were among dozens who holed up in the Al-Aksa mosque, starting Saturday night. Four officers and at least 12 of the rioters were injured.

Dozens of Arabs threw rocks at security personnel in the Ras Al-Amud neighborhood of eastern Jerusalem. The Arabs claim the violence is in reaction to the addition of the Cave of the Patriarchs (Me'arat Hamachpela) in Hevron to the list of government-funded Israeli heritage sites.
