Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Thursday instructed top officials to begin working with Transport Minister Yisrael Katz in the planning of a train line from Eilat to Kiryat Shmona, even though it was not included in the 27.5 billion shekel transportation upgrade plan approved by the government Wednesday.

Netanyahu's office stressed that the project was important and that he would work to ensure that it was carried out.
