A Haifa court has sent two minors, together with a 20 year old, to prison, for attacking a 96 year old Holocaust survivor. According to prosecutors, the three invaded the home of the elderly survivor, threatening him and stealing his emergency alert button, rendering him unable to call for help. They also damaged and stole property from the elderly man, and also injured his dog.
Judge Ron Shapira said that the evidence was clear, and that they would be sentenced to serve time, and detained them until sentencing. Addressing the two youths, Shapira said that their young age was no protection from the justice.
