Dozens of employees of the Partner communications company receently organized in order to join the Histadrut Labor Federation and establish a workers' committee, according to the Haaretz business publication The Marker. The action was taken following structural changes in the company that resulted in the firing of 120 workers at the end of 2009.
At least a third of the remaining 6,500 workers must be part of the organization in order for it to be legally recognized. The process could take months to achieve.
