The Seventh Annual Jerusalem Conference on Israeli issues continues its look at the the New Middle East on Tuesday morning when conference chairman Robert Rechnitz opens a session entitled "Does the Middle East Face New Threats or New Opportunities for Peace?" Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz, former chairman of the Knesset Defense and Foreign Affairs Committee, will deliver the keynote address on the subject.

That will be followed by a panel on lawsuits and allegations of war crimes, featuring Dr. Rachel Ehrenfeld, Director of the American Center for Democracy and author of "Funding Evil: How Terrorism is Financed"; attorney Anne Herzberg, a legal advisor and monitor of non-governmental agencies; Lt. Colonel (res.) Jonathan D. Halevi, Senior Researcher on the Middle East and Radical Islam at the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs; Rabbi Abraham Cooper, Associate Dean of the Simon Wiesenthal Center and attorney Nitsana Darshan-Leitner, Director of the Shurat Hadin Israel Law Center .
