Teva Pharmaceutical Industries said Monday that its United States subsidiary has signed an agreement with Novartis to settle a patent lawsuit over Teva's generic version of the antiviral medication Famvir, developed by Novartis to treat herpes and shingles.
Under terms of the settlement, Teva will make an undisclosed, one-time payment to Novartis as well as ongoing royalty fees on U.S. sales of its famciclovir generic version of Famvir.
