The Jerusalem District Prosecutor has asked for a three month delay in the trial of former Prime Minster Ehud Olmert. The move comes after a tape was distributed in which State Prosecutor Ori Karov, who is heading the case against Olmert, is heard criticizing the Israeli court system. State Prosecutor Moshe Lador subsequently asked Karov to take an extended vacation.
Critics say the distribution of the tape was a transparent attempt to hamper the trial and have asked the State Prosecutor not to delay it.
