On a tour of the Shimon Hatzaddik neighborhood in Jerusalem with the Knesset Interior Committee, MK Aryeh Bibi said that the Jewish residents of the area had already been living there for decades, and that they deserved the right to freely access their homes, as well as the site of the grave of Shimon Hatzaddik. Over the past months, radical leftists and Arabs have rioted in the area on a regular basis, harassing and attacking Jewish residents.

MK Bibi demanded an increase in the police presence in the neighborhood. "The incitement of leftwing elements seeking to disturb the peace must be stopped," he said.
