Member of Knesset Danny (Likud) has called on people affected by the government's freeze on Jewish construction in Judea and Samaria to submit estimates of the damage they have suffered to his office as he advances his bill to compensate them. A form for submitting the information can be found at his website, www.dannydanon.com. It can be submitted until the end of February.
MK Danon has opened a campaign in religious newspapers and local Judea and Samaria papers to increase awareness among those who might be helped by his bill. He said on Tuesday, "The failure to take care of those who were evicted in the Disengagement cannot be allowed to happen again." He added that the authorities have an obligation to deal with the impact of the freeze, which is being absorbed by the bank accounts of a lot of families. Danon expressed hope that a compensation mechanism will be launched quickly and that every family will receive the compensation that is coming to it.
