Employees of the city of Petach Tikva started sanctions Tuesday in protest of changes unilaterally imposed by management in the municipality's hierarchy. They say the city is working according to civil service policy and not labor law.

Under the sanctions, there will be no municipal office hours and phones at the city switchboard will not be answered.
