Member of Knesset Michael Ben-Ari reacted Tuesday to the early-morning destruction of the synagogue in the Samarian Jewish community of Nachliel by saying, "The government of Israel, which was warned not to touch a grain of sand in mosques, demolishes synagogues [and] tramples on holy books."

He added, "If this would have happened in Europe, we would have yelled, 'Anti-Semitism'."
