Hamas politburo leader Khaled Mashaal said on Monday that he did not see peace soon between Israel and its neighbors. He claimed that the Israeli leadership was only prepared for a new war.

Mashaal is in Moscow for talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov about unification talks with the Fatah faction of Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas. Mashaal praised Russia's readiness to help and accused the United States of hindering them.
