      Shekel Stronger


      The shekel was stronger against most currencies on the Bank of Israel's official foreign exchange list on Monday. Exceptions were the Canadian dollar, which rose .04 percent in value from Friday's rate to NIS 3.4883. A hundred yen was worth 4.1836 shekels, an increase of .141 percent in the value of the Japanese currency.

      The United States dollar fell four tenths of a percent to NIS 3.732. The Euro was fixed at 5.0964 shekels, down .68 percent, and the pound sterling dipped 1.18 percent to NIS 5.8096.
