PA Chairman Abu Mazen has reportedly decided to accept the American proposal to open indirect negotiations with Israel, mediated by U.S. special envoy George Mitchell. The decision was made following heavy international pressure exerted on Abu Mazen in the last few weeks.
PA negotiating team chief Saab Erekat said he does not believe that the negotiations will lead to ending the conflict.
