The government is expected to discuss on Monday a large-scale transportation infrastructure program involving the deployment of new railways and roads across Israel. The plan will require an investment of NIS 51 billion by the year 2025.
Called "Routes of Israel” the plan is intended to change the distribution of population and employment centers in Israel – and help develop the periphery of the country. It will be presented to the government by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz.
