People who came from to Ra'anana from around the country Sunday evening to hear a lecture by Rabbi Amnon Yitzchak were surprised to hear that the city had banned the event. The rabbi turned around and went home when faced by the locked gates but the audience started a demonstation which turned into a disturbance. Police came in great numbers from getting worse.
A few hours later, a court order helped the lecture take place, but organizers and those who went home promised to sue for damages. The city contends the lecture was billed as an event on behalf of a sick person and not one for the newly religious.
