Britain will begin limiting the number of visas given to foreign students, in order to discourage illegal immigrants seeking work from entering the country. Last year, the British government issued over 230,000 such visas.
According to the new rules the government has adopted, those who want visas will have to prove that their English is sufficient to communicate with other members of society. They will be allowed to work no more than ten hours per week, and some will not be permitted to bring family members with them, the government said.
