Although the snow didn't reach the center of the country, cold weather did, and early Thursday police found a homeless man who had apparently died of exposure under a building in Petach Tikvah. Magen David Adom officials said they had sent out workers to ensure that those in need were able to stay warm during the cold spell.
Snow has been falling in the Golan throughout Thursday morning, and has spread to high peaks in the northern Galilee. Forecasters say that snow is likely to fall in high peaks around Jerusalem as well Thursday.
