President Uriel Lynn of the Union of Chambers of Commerce presented a program to Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz on Monday that would reduce the public sector without firing workers.
The program is based on voluntary retirement, transfer of workers to essential offices from offices that are no longer needed and professional placement for public servants. Lynn said the plan does not include education and health.
