In an interview with Arutz 7, Yoram Ettinger, a former U.S. consul in the United States, said that Israel should not expect Washington to take on Iran. "President Obama has decided to attempt to reach Iran through negotiations and discussions, and he is acting in the same manner with North Korea. He will not undertake any moves without consulting with the international community," which opposed miltary action against Iran, Ettinger said.
Ettinger added that Obama sees the rise of terror groups as somehow being the fault of the West, and as such he will not take on Iran militarily. "All this leads us to conclude that the most we can expect out of Washington is the imposition of sanctions on Iran, but the sanctions will be meaningless," he said.
