Jew Injured by Rock Attack in Nahlat Shimon Friday

A man on his way to pray at the grave of Shimon HaTzadik in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Nahlat Shimon (Sheikh Jarrah) was lightly injured on Friday afternoon when a protester hurled a rock at him. The protest, which had begun earlier in the day, turned into a riot as demonstrators attempted to break into Jewish homes and began throwing stones at local Jews who were praying in the area. Police assessed that the rock was not thrown by a Jew belonging to an anti-Zionist organizations funded by the European Union to incite Arab residents against their Jewish neighbors.
