Wednesday's attempted suicide by a man who was among the nearly 10,000 expelled by the government from Gaza and northern Samaria in 2005 prompted the manager of social services in the Ashkelon Coast regional council to threaten on Friday to quit dealing with the evictees if budget cuts continue. Interviewed by Arutz Sheva's Hebrew service, Maozia Segal said the man was just an example.
Segal said he did not see a better future for the evictees, explaining that the budgets to rehabilitate them pales in comparison to the funds spent to uproot them from their homes.
