Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman and OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurria on Tuesday signed an agreement that gives the international organization various protections and benefits, and arranges the OECD's legal status in Israel. Lieberman's office said that the agreement was a "major building block" in Israel's eventual joining the organization.
Speaking Tuesday, Gurria said that the organization was in the process of making "final preparations" for Israel's joining the OECD.
