The search continued Tuesday morning for Yoram Hochman, who was swept away in the flash-flooding of the Nachal Arava river south of the Dead Sea on Monday. Taking part in the effort are volunteers of the Arava Rescue Unit, Arava Border Police officers and police from Dimona. Highway 90 from the Dead Sea northward is closed due to the weather, except for the area between the resort hotels and Ein Gedi.

Other roads which have been closed: Highway 40 between Mitzpe Rimon and Chalukim, Highway 211 between Nitzana and Mash'ave Sadeh, Highway 222 between Revivim and Tze'ilim and Highway 234 between Tze'ilim and Gesher.
