Variable cloudiness is forecast for Tuesday with winds ranging from 20-50 kilometers/12.4-31 miles an hour and a high-wave warning at Mediterranean beaches. Local light rain is forecast for the coastal plain with scattered showers over the northern half of the country and snow on Mt. Hermon. There's a danger of flooding in low lying areas.

On Wednesday, the rain will extend to southern Israel with thunderstorms possible. Temperatures will drop below average before the winds die down. The rain will recede to the northern Negev on Thursday before stopping in the evening. Partly cloudy and warmer weather is forecast for Friday.
