Former President of the Supreme Court, Aharon Barak, recently advised outgoing Attorney General, Menachem Mazuz, to establish a commission of inquiry or a government investigation committee, to address complaints raised by Goldstone's report on alleged IDF "war crimes" committed during "Operation Cast Lead" in Gaza.

The Goldstone report has been widely criticized for being heavily slanted against the Jewish State.
