Civil Administration inspectors were expelled in disgrace from the town of Hashmonaim, after mass protests by hundreds of boys who came straight from school. Clashes broke out between demonstrators and security forces, but the boys did not surrender.
The inspectors came to check on a freeze preventing all new Jewish construction in the town.
